Only if absolutely necessary will medication be administered. All animals are offered fresh water, hay we raise, and organic okra, proven to be a bovine superfood. All natural feeds are used for the animals that receive grain. This care ensures the best possible flavor and texture, sure to please the pickiest of palettes. Stop by our meat market "The MEATing Barn" today for the best farm-to-table New Jersey meats.

Hours: Saturdays 10 AM - 2 PM

Our Cows

  • When you drive by the farm, you will see the cows out grazing in the fields.
  • They have all the fresh water they want.
  • Of course during the winter there is no grass, so cows are happy to have our locally grown hay!
  • During the year they are offered an organic tofu by-product which serves as their major protein source.
  • We do not give any of our animals synthetic hormones.
  • During the summer months, the cows get lots of fresh vegetables.
  • If needed, and only when needed, they receive antibiotics for healing as we believe in treating animals with utmost respect.

Our Laying Hens

So what do we feed our laying hens, and where do they roam?

  • Our laying hens are fed all-natural feed formulated to provide maximum health without meat by-products.
  • They drink cold water fresh from our wells.
  • For shelter, they have nests to lay in and a platform on which to roost. Our laying hens can rest and lay without being pursued by the roosters. Rooster pursuit makes laying hens tired.
  • The laying hens are given an area outside in which to run, scratch, and peck.
  • During the summer, they love to snack on tomatoes.
  • And of course—they are raised antibiotic-free.

What About Our Pigs?

  • Our pigs receive the same organic tofu by-product as the cows which is great for pigs!
  • They, too, have fresh water anytime of day.
  • They are offered an all-natural feed, free from meat by-products.
  • Our pigs love fresh produce, especially watermelon! Yes, they are a bit spoiled.
  • If needed, and only then will they receive antibiotics as we treat our animals with respect and address issues only if they arise.
  • These pigs live in a Virginia Style heifer barn so we can keep an eye on them and make sure their tails have a curl! Happy pigs are the best pigs!

Processing the Meat

We must use a USDA-certified butcher to resell our meat.

We use two different butchers—one in Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania and the other in Springfield, Pennsylvania.

The meat is flash frozen to preserve its peak flavor and freshness.

And yes! All the meat we sell is proudly raised right here on our farm.
